It delivers deep and loud bass while maintaining clarity. However, it is a very large sub woofer, therefore acoustics play a key factor if one wishes to get optimum performance. Room placement is the easiest way to get the best performance. Different rooms call for different placement for good performance, therefore the user must tinker with the position of it. With it being so big, that might be a problem in smaller rooms because there might only be one place where it fits.All in all, I am a satisfied customer because of its clarity, ability to handle low frequencies, and its capacity to be earsplitting. It boiled down to the Cerwin Vega CMX 12 or XLS 15. I could not be happier. I have this bad boy hooked up to an onkyo reciever that puts out 250 watts to sw. This speaker will make old movies and video games seem brand new again. Not only do you hear the explosions crystal clear also feel them. This is a must have for any surrround sound system. The XLS-15 doesn't stop there though. Weather its heavey bass from hip/hop music or the deep double bass of your metal band this thing will keep up untill your ears give out! |
